
Douglas A. Thieme, DVM graduated from Purdue University in 1983.
After spending a few years in southern Indiana, he relocated to Fort Lauderdale in 1986 where he worked as an Associate Veterinarian for Dr. E.E. (Pete) Seiler. When Dr. Seiler retired in December of 1988, Dr. Thieme purchased the practice.
Dr. Thieme enjoys general practice and surgery, including dentistry. He values the long-term relationships which have developed with his clients over the years. He and his wife, Erin, have four children, Mitchell, Maureen, Ryan, and Kathleen, along with one cat and two dogs. In his spare time he enjoys running, playing basketball, and spending time with his family - both two and four-legged!
Dr. Thieme is a past president of the prestigious Executive Association of Fort Lauderdale, and a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the Broward County Veterinary Medical Association.
